about truloc

Truloc began trading from an industrial unit in Dublin in the early 1970’s manufacturing anaerobic adhesives which were sold into engineering distribution throughout the UK and Ireland.

The addition of cyanoacrylate manufacture required a bigger industrial unit to accommodate the necessary reactors, and as a result Truloc Ltd was formed on the 19th July 1978 in a larger manufacturing facility in Co Donegal.

The Truloc brand and product range went from strength to strength, winning approvals and specifications in a cross section of engineering applications across Europe.

Shortly before Truloc’s formation, in the summer of 1969 a young Clive Perry joined the Royal Air Force and in the late 70’s was posted to a flying training squadron, later enjoying tours at a number of fast jet stations throughout the UK and Europe. He retired from the RAF in the mid 90’s and joined the Truloc team in helping establish a firmer base in the UK. Focused on the continued growth of the business in 1999 Clive purchased Truloc, and moved the sales, distribution and manufacture to North Wales, further extending the support into the larger UK customer base.

the future of truloc

in 2011 the truloc operation was centralized in hemel hempstead, from where it was successfully maintained by clive and his team until his planned retirement in 2022. In view of the 23 years of hard work that had been invested in Truloc since his ownership, it was very important to Clive that the business was sold to another company that would further facilitate the growth of this excellent brand.  As a leading manufacturer of anaerobic, methacrylate, epoxy, cyanoacrylate and UV curable adhesives Bondchem were very pleased to be given the opportunity to help Clive and take this excellent brand and distribution network forward, acquiring the company and its assets in January 2022.

Since the acquisition we are very pleased to say that the Truloc sales are growing, and we have already added several new products to the range, and launched a series of distribution stands to assist the hard-working distributors get the products to market.

We have big plans for the Truloc product range and remain excited to build on this well-established distribution platform long into the future.
